Celebrations of Life, Bespoke Funerals and Memorials

Honouring Lives with Compassion and Respect

We all have different ways of remembering our loved ones. It may be a star in the sky, a particular song, a place, or even a smell. Your memories of them are as individual to you as their life was to them. As your Independent Civil Celebrant, I will deliver a special, memorable, and meaningful ceremony that is completely unique. I will handcraft a script that includes all the things that you want to share or that they may have wanted to include.

I am trained to serve people of all faiths, beliefs, and cultures. I am comfortable conducting both religious and non-religious ceremonies, ensuring that every service is respectful and inclusive. My goal is always to provide a comforting presence and a service that honours the individual while providing solace to the family and friends in attendance.

Let’s celebrate the life of your loved one and remember them in the special ways that are yours alone.

Preparation

Understanding the life and legacy of your loved one is an integral part of the farewell process. It's an honour for me to learn their stories, their passions, and the relationships that shaped them. This knowledge enables me to create a memorable, meaningful ceremony that truly represents them.

Grief is a complex journey, and I'm here to support you beyond crafting the eulogy. I'll guide you through the practical aspects of arranging the funeral, from coordinating with the venue to handling the administrative tasks associated with a death.

My experience ranges from intimate gatherings to grand events with hundreds of guests. Rest assured, I'll be a steady presence, helping you orchestrate a ceremony that perfectly commemorates your loved one.

The days following the ceremony can often be the loneliest, and I'll be there for you then, too. I'll also check in during the first few months after the farewell to see if there is anything else you need from me.

Location of Your Tribute

Celebrations of life, funeral ceremonies, or memorials aren’t limited to a crematorium. You could consider having your loved ones' ceremony anywhere you think would be fitting for them and that would represent their life journey. You have options, and I will help you navigate all the choices.

A non-crematorium ceremony allows you to say goodbye in a relaxed environment without time limits or constraints. Similarly, you could have an intimate ceremony at the crematorium, with a private cremation and then have a memorial service at your loved one’s private place; perfectly legal, unhurried, intimate and special for you to remember.

Funeral prices are fixed by the funeral home and are generally around £250.

A Tribute to Your Loved One

My celebrant services can include crafting a beautiful video to celebrate the life of your loved one, personalised to reflect their unique journey. The footage consists of your choice of photos, videos, their favourite music, and heartfelt messages. The video is provided to you as a link, so it can be watched anytime, anywhere, and shared with family and friends. Did you know the video you use at the memorial service can also be downloaded? Ask your Funeral Director about this service.

The cost of the service is designed to provide value for money, depending on the length of the video and the number of images provided. For instance, a 10-12-slide video, depending on the template chosen, would typically cost around £70, making it an affordable option for creating a personalised memorial video.

Just so you know, content writing can also be provided.

This is an example video that can also be created individually for you. The design can be chosen from templates, and timings can be adjusted to suit. Additionally, it can be produced as a book for you to share as a keepsake with family and friends (quote on request).
